In the summer movie "Speed Racer " from the Wachoswki Brothers, which is based on the classic 1960's Japanese animated series, the
aspirations of a young race car driver Speed ( Emile Hirsch ) as he attempts to obtain glory,
with the help of his family and the Mach 5, the advanced car created by
his father.
It looks like, that the main rival car Super Autobacs 43 is based on a real racing team from Japan "Autobacs Racing Team Aguri" which looks like a product placement deal with Warnerbros.
First I recommend that you check out the trailer before you are going to see the rival car from Speed...

I guess you can see for yourself, they are really looking alike, even the advertisement on the car..
